The practice of yoga after birth will facilitate rapid return of physical efficiency.
Our Postnatal Yoga with Bub classes focus on restoring balance and on supporting the body to return
to its optimum condition.


In your 1st month after birth it is beneficial to resume your breathing and relaxation practice at home daily. Breathing will assist in gently toning your abdominal organs and muscles while relaxation will promote peacefulness, remove fatigue and build your energy. You can begin Friday Postnatal classes in your 2nd months.

During the first 3 months after birth it is important to avoid exercises such as running, jumping and abdominal strengtheners that are strenuous and that can exert downwards pressure on your abdominal organs, uterus and pelvic floor.

CLASSES:
with Bub: Mondays & Fridays 11.00 to 12.00pm
with Toddler: Thursdays 3.00 to 4.00pm

COSTS 2012:
$85.00 5 class PASS valid 6 weeks
$18.00 trial class casual rate

* Bookings essential, please contact us for availability. Our classes are limited to 8 mothers.

Our Postnatal classes are suitable for new mothers and their babies from 1 month post-partum and 2 months for c_section birth.
Breathing and relaxation is included. You will have the freedom to care for your baby during the class. (breast feed etc).

Bring a blanket for your baby for when you place him/her on the floor & any accessories you need.
Yoga equipment is provided for the mother.

  • POSTNATAL 1 : (2nd to 4th months)
    Fridays | 11am to 12.00pm
    PURPOSE: to restore, nourish, rebuild, re-balance, relax, strengthen & improve functions

  • Pelvic floor & abdomen to restore tone
  • Repositioning of uterus/internal organs
  • Lower/upper back to strengthen & release tension
  • Neck & shoulders to strengthen and release tension from breast feeding
  • Remove postnatal fatigue & build energy


  • POSTNATAL 2 : (4th months plus)
    Mondays | 11am to 12.00pm
    PURPOSE: to build up muscles of abdomen, reduce fat, tone & strengthen

  • Pelvic floor & abdominal practice to strengthen
  • Lower & upper back to strengthen & release tension
  • Neck & shoulders to strengthen and release tension from breast feeding


    MUM & TODDLER :(2 to 5 years old)
    Thursdays | 3.00 to 4.00pm

    In the Mum & Toddler classes, mums can enjoy their yoga practice and have their toddler join in, watch or interact with other children.
    A safe environment is provided for the toddlers so mums can focus on their own needs, stretch, tone and relax.
